Joy as jobs created when McDonald’s opens at Middelburg Mall
A new McDonald’s restaurant will open at Middelburg Mall in Mpumalanga on 1 September 2012. By doing so, it will create employment for more than 30 youth.
Sechaba Motsieloa, Corporate Affairs Director for McDonald’s says: “Besides Middelburg Mall giving us an opportunity to be conveniently located to our customers who shop at the mall, by opening the restaurant we are providing employment for more than 30 youth. This gives them chance to learn new skills and to kick start a career in McDonald’s.”
Middelburg Mall Centre Manager Mike Tammadge says that introducing McDonald’s responds to customers’ leisure needs. “McDonald’s brings an exciting new element to the Middelburg Mall experience. We’re delighted to welcome this iconic brand to our mall. We also hope to bring our shoppers even more leisure options in the future.”
In line with McDonald’s new restaurant designs, the Middelburg Mall restaurant will be relevant and contemporary. “We will bring shoppers the good food that McDonald’s is popular for, including Big Mac, French Fries, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Happy Meals and many more. There will be a Playroom as well as a McCafe,” says Motsieloa. “Customers can expect our ongoing high levels of friendly service, value for money, quality and cleanliness.”
Motsieloa explains that this is McDonald’s second store in Middelburg. It also has a free-standing Drive Thru on the corner of Hendrik Potgieter Street & Jan van Riebeeck Streets. “We know that our Middelburg customers love the global products that McDonald’s offers at their local restaurant,” says Motsieloa.
Middelburg Mall in Mpumalanga opened its doors in April 2012. In its first four months of trading it has proved an instant success with shoppers and retailers alike, offering comprehensive, quality shopping in an exciting mix of 95 shops.
