Groblersdal, Mpumalanga, will soon enjoy more shopping convenience at the modern Groblersdal Game Centre, with popular SA retailer Game Store as the anchor tenant.

Continuing its long-standing relationship with Massmart, Moolman Group is developing the new 8,500sqm Groblersdal Game Centre.

“This is a tenant driven development. Game has wanted to be closer to the Groblersdal community for some time,” explains Pieter Lombaard, CEO of Moolman Group. “We helped Game by sourcing suitable land and securing the best available position to meet the needs of local consumers.”

Construction has started on the new shopping centre which is in the heart of central Groblersdal, close to schools, the municipal offices and other prominent retail amenities. Groblersdal Game Centre is on the corner of Barlow Street and Groblers Lane. It enjoys easy access, generous parking, and is near to public transport.

“Groblersdal Game Centre will be an extension of the existing CBD. In fact, it will strengthen the entire CBD node,” says Lombaard. “Groblersdal shoppers will get more from their local shopping experience and be better served by retail overall.”

Game will trade from a substantial 4,500sqm shop, complemented by more than a dozen stores which will meet the community’s everyday shopping needs.

As well as drawing shoppers from Groblersdal and its districts, Groblersdal Game Centre is expected to see shoppers coming from the economically sustainable markets from Jane Furse, Marble Hall, Dennelton, Tafelkop, Siyabushwa, Sehlakwane and smaller surrounding rural areas.

Besides developing Groblersdal Game City with Massmart, Moolman Group is also developing its fifth store for Massmart’s Makro brand.

Founded in Polokwane, Moolman Group has successfully operated in the property industry for more than four decades. Its core business is the development and acquisition of property investment.

Moolman Group recently co-developed the new Middelburg Mall, as well as Limpopo’s super-regional Mall of the North and is currently developing Lephalale Mall in Limpopo.

Groblersdal Game Centre will open in November 2012, just in time to bring shoppers even more variety and value this festive season.
