FNB launches new Cape Town regional office building

Willowbridge Place will become a regional office for First Natinal Bank (FNB) and Rand Merchant Bank (RMB).

First National Bank (FNB) on Wednesday 19th officially opened Willowbridge Place, a new office development in Cape Town's northern suburbs.

Willowbridge Place has consolidated nine different offices of the FirstRand group scattered across the northern suburbs into one complex.

The sectional title development is owned by FirstRand and Growthpoint Properties. The development consists of two separate office blocks for FNB and Growthpoint Properties 8500 m2 and 6000m2 respectively.

Willowbridge Place will become a regional office for FNB and Rand Merchant Bank (RMB).

"We strongly believe in the economic growth potential of the Western Cape. Our role as a proudly South African organisation extends further than banking alone. FNB sees this building as a tangible expression of its commitment to this city and region," said Stephan Claassen, FNB Western Cape Provincial Head.

The building already stands as a beautiful landmark on the corner of Old Oak and Carl Cronje road, across the road from Tygervalley centre.

The office block for FNB, has been designed to be fully functional for the bank's purposes.

The GrowthPoint building is rented out to Visa. The building has seven levels, two parking levels and five office levels and will house about 300 employees on the FNB side and 250 employees on the Growthpoint side.

Willowbridge Place has impressive green credentials with special emphasis on waste recycling and power efficiency.
