Aucor Property has confirmed that its next property auction will be held on 12 March 2013 at Park Hyatt Hotel at 12h00 and will see a total of 14 properties come under the hammer on the day.

This follows a successful February auction which translated into a 63% confirmation rate in the two weeks since the auction. Mark Kleynhans from Aucor Property comments, “As we start to gain momentum into 2013 we as a team are very pleased with the positive results from our February auction. Although it was a smaller auction event in terms of the number of lots we took to the floor, we sold the bulk of the industrial portfolio and are seeing an increased demand from the market for quality industrial stock that is well located in established industrial nodes. With this in mind our March auction has a variety of industrial offerings that will appeal to a host of investors, manufacturers and developers.”

Located in Benoni South Extension which is an established industrial hub and is home to some of the country’s major industrial concerns and institutional property owners, this particular facility is known as Eclipse West. The facility was closed in 2010 and housed a foundry which produced metal castings.

John Hislop, Broker at Aucor Property says, “Eclipse West is a massive property to be bringing to auction with an erf size of 35 184m2. The facility is well laid out and features 19 different buildings and facilities ranging from a 17m2 sub-station building to the main large steel factory which measures an impressive 11 424m2 and has good height.”
