Whether you are a beginner or seasoned market participant, Rode and REIM bring together the latest world and SA trends, education and thought leadership on real estate and investment.

The Johannesburg conference will kick off with a presentation by Ettienne le Roux, Chief Economist at Rand Merchant Bank. His topic of discussion will be “Economic prospects”.

This will be followed by a presentation entitled “Emerging Trends in Global Real Estate” to be delivered by Dr Dolf de Roos, who is an investor, author, educator, business owner, entrepreneur and president of Wealth Migrate. Dolf has written and published sixteen best-selling property books, including Real Estate Riches.

Next, Amelia Beattie, chief investment officer at Stanlib and President of Sapoa, will take to the stage to share her insights on “Walking the streets of Africa – investment experiences on the Continent”, followed by a panel discussion and a tea break.

Neale Petersen, CEO & publisher of REALE MEDIA, will be discussing “New trends from an investor perspective ... the good, the bad and the ugly”. Neale's publication, SA Real Estate Investor Magazine, won the SAPOA Property Journalism Award for the best property print publication in 2013.

Neale’s talk will be followed by Jacques Magliolo’s presentation, “Raising funds via an AltX-listing of your property company". Jacques is the MD of Business Consultants International and author of twelve books, including three university textbooks.

Scott Picken, who is the Senior Managing Partner and CEO of Wealth Migrate and author of Property Going Global, written in association with Clem Sunter, will talk on "The Global Property System™ – your answer to achieving wealth preservation, a plan B and peace of mind by investing in the best markets and opportunities globally, while safely managing risk". Scott’s talk will be followed by a panel discussion and lunch.

Les Evans, former CEO of CDC Capital and elite transformational coach to celebrities, top-shelf executives & entrepreneurs wishing to dramatically increase their influence & leadership charisma, will start the afternoon session with his presentation titled “The rainmakers’ recipe for investing greatness: How to thrive in adverse markets”.

The Johannesburg conference will conclude with well-known property economist and professional valuer Erwin Rode’s presentation titled “Prospects for property in uncertain times”, followed by a final panel discussion.

Kura Chihota, Host of “Ask the Property Experts”, will be the master of ceremonies at both the Johannesburg and Cape Town events.
