Boogertman + Partners scoops SAPOA Excellence Award for Commercial Office Developments

Boogertman + Partner’s Sage VIP Head Office won the Commercial Office Development Category.

Boogertman + Partners (Pty) Ltd was awarded the SAPOA (South African Property Owners Association) Innovative Excellence Awards for Commercial Office Developments.

The awards were announced at the 45th annual SAPOA International Property Convention & Exhibition held at Sun City on the 14-16th May. The awards showcase outstanding property development in various disciplines.

Developed and owned by Menlyn Maine Investment Holdings and designed by Boogertman + Partners Architects.

Sage VIP took occupation of their new 12 500m² Head Office in December 2012. The project team was fortunate to work with a tenant that embraced green principles in the design and operation of its new building.

From an early stage, the completed project would be certified by the Green Building Council of South Africa. “The team worked in close collaboration with Sage VIP to realise a building custom designed around the client’s needs and requirements and fit for purpose, but still allowing for future flexibility.

With a GBCSA Four Star Green Star design rating, and an equal number of green stars expected for its ‘As-built’ rating, sustainability and green design principals were integral for this building, which features a green roof for urban agriculture and social interaction.
