Basil Read appoints Bruce Morton as new executive director

Basil Read Holdings‚ the JSE-listed construction‚ mining‚ development and engineering group‚ on Monday said it had appointed Bruce Morton to the role of executive director for construction, with effect from February 1 2014.

Basil Read Holdings‚ the JSE-listed construction‚ mining‚ development and engineering group‚ on Monday said it had appointed Bruce Morton to the role of executive director for construction, with effect from February 1 2014.

In his new role Morton will assume executive control of the various construction companies forming part of the construction portfolio within the group and will report directly to the CEO‚ the company said on Monday.

Morton joined Basil Read in February 2013 as strategic commercial director: special projects and construction to bolster the technical and construction management competencies of the company.

He was previously employed at engineering group Aurecon as global airport leader‚ where he was responsible for the delivery of airport infrastructure projects worldwide.
