AOS Studley and Akwaba Africa Properties have signed an operating agreement which provides for an exclusive co-operation arrangement between them, based on a dedicated client services offering, covering the Sub-Sahara and South Africa property markets.

AOS Studley is an international, independent real estate consulting firm, exclusively occupiers-focused. For more than 20 years, AOS Studley supported occupiers in their strategy by optimizing their real estate transformation. The group employs 400 people globally, with 2011 revenues of 75 million Euros. It is present in 22 countries (including France, Belgium, The Netherlands, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, USA, Morocco, Czech Republic, Brazil, India, and Russia) and has a portfolio of more than 600 clients.

Akwaba Africa Properties is a recently formed “niche” real estate services provider company with many years of expertise in several African countries including South Africa, covering aspects of leasing, investment sales, tenant representation, project and development management, business development and consultancy within the commercial, retail, industrial and hotel sectors of the real estate market.

Wayne Wright, a director and partner of Akwaba said;” We had been in discussion with a number of International property companies looking to enter the African market  to provide a service to their client base, and for us to access the ‘global arena’ and gain international exposure. Having had a number of discussions with AOS Studley and after presentations to them were made in their European office in Paris, they visited us here earlier this year, to continue talks. In these discussions, we found strong synergies between our firms, particularly in our service offerings, independence, business ethics and expertise, “said Wright.

“We are excited and are looking forward to partnering with the worldwide network of AOS Studley, together with their partners and clients, particularly in the leasing and project management arena, throughout the African Continent”, said André van Eeden, Akwaba co-director and partner.

The emerging markets, commonly called "BRICS", South Africa among them, are key parts of our companies' territorial development. So, it was essential for the AOS Studley group to find an exclusive partner in South Africa, covering the Sub-Saharan countries, after the opening of its Brazilian and Indian offices and the recent signature of a partnership in Russia. Working with the best teams to offer AOS Studley expertise in this country is another exciting challenge for AOS Studley, states Gilles Betthaeuser, President, AOS Studley.
