Lansmore Masa Square, part of the Lonrho Hotels family, yesterday (11 July 2012) opened for business to the public.

Mr. Rupert Elliott, Lansmore Masa Square General Manager explains, “Guests have come to develop a certain kind of expectation. We make every effort to ensure that this is translated into an unforgettable experience, whether it is in La Touche de Provence, Espretto, or the hotel.”

Having unveiled the 49 rooms that comprise the first floor of the business first luxury hotel, as well as the in-house restaurant, La Touche de Provence, and Espretto Coffee Shop, Lansmore Masa Square strives to offer so much more than simply business as usual.

As part of its drive to become the preferred choice for business and leisure tourists, as well as locals looking for anything from a quick bite to a gourmet meal, Lansmore Masa Square has gone all out. The hotel boasts a number of “firsts” as well as some key unique draws. The 7th floor of the hotel, due to open soon, will enable guests to boast that they are sleeping on the highest hotel bed in the country. In fact, Lansmore Masa Square is Botswana’s tallest hotel, the only business first luxury hotel in the country and the very first Lansmore hotel in the world. Moreover, a visit to the Sunset Bar and infinity pool, located on the 3rd floor rooftop, is the highest infinity pool in the nation, offering sensational views as far as Kgale.

“There’s been great deal of anticipation around when we would open our doors. I am thrilled to now welcome all of our customers and guests and look forward to really bringing new meaning to the hospitality sector of Botswana and to offering people an all-round lifestyle experience that truly redefines the kind of offering they have become used to,” continued Mr. Elliott.

Lansmore Masa Square is nestled in the heart of Gaborone’s new CBD, cascading into the piazza of Masa Centre. The hotel is uniquely positioned, both literally and figuratively, to raise the bar of the service, cuisine and sense of luxury and convenience that Batswana experience.

Last night saw Lansmore Masa Square open for business. Patrons who were quick enough to secure a reservation at La Touche de Provence toasted the inaugural dinner over French cuisine with a signature local twist. Guests of the superior hotel, meanwhile, treated themselves a kind of luxury previously unbeknown to Gaborone; a kind of luxury we can now all become accustomed to.
